Following their recent releases ‘Gospel Oak’ and cover of The Roches’ ‘Hammond Song’ with Julia Cumming (Sunflower Bean) and Bria Salmena, Wolf Alice complete their run of B-sides with ‘Hit The Sky’ – the third and final track from The Clearing: B Sides is out now via Columbia Records - landing alongside a Zane Lowe interview for Apple Music Daily.

Starting out as a demo recorded in Seven Sisters during sessions for the band’s Number 1 fourth albumThe Clearing, the track was revisited over a year after the album's critically-acclaimed release last August.

Speaking on it, Ellie shared: “Hit the sky is a demo we made in Seven Sisters that we revamped a bit with James Gavin on fiddle and Julia Cumming on BV's a year or so later. It’s about encouraging someone you love to be themselves, because you can see how fabulous they are!”

Previously speaking on the B Sides release, Ellie shared: “These are a few songs we made during The Clearing that didn’t make it on the final record, but are ones we love very much - we’re happy to have found a home for them for you to hear. Enjoy”

The Clearing: B Sides closely follows the band’s huge homecoming show at Finsbury Park this summer, their biggest headline show to date. Now embarking on a whirlwind summer of festival slots, the band stopped in NYC last month for their largest show in the city at Pier 17, where Julia and Bria joined them for a live rendition of ‘Hammond Song’, the second single of the B Sides package which was taken from recording sessions of their 2025 number 1 album. Over the August bank holiday weekend they will headline Green Man Festival, before embarking on a US support tour forOlivia Rodrigo from September.

The release of their fourth studio album The Clearingin August 2025 cemented their place in global music culture. An album bursting with ambition, ideas and emotion, it was received with huge critical acclaim, reached Number 1 on the UK album charts and was shortlisted for The coveted Mercury Music Prize for the fourth time - that’s four for four across their 10-year career, making Wolf Alice the only band in Mercury Prize history to achieve a 100% nomination rate across their discography. Wolf Alice also won Group of the Year at the 2026 BRIT Awards as well as being nominated for best Alternative/Rock Act andMastercard Album of the Year.
