South Stockton star, MBNel released his highly-anticipated album Forever II via Muddy Boyz and EMPIRE.
The album pays homage to the first project MBNel ever released at the beginning of his career “Forever I” (2018) and focuses on Nel’s evolution as a man, father and artist. The project will feature his hit single “Internet” and follows his hit single “Ashtray” with O Side Mafia, which charted #15 on Spotify PH, #25 on YouTube trending, and has over 10M streams to date.
MBNel came up in the streets of Stockton, California; a city that shaped every bar, every melody, and every honest line he's ever written. A first-generation Filipino-American, MBNel defied the odds stacked against him. Surrounded by poverty, gang life, and violence from an early age, he turned lived experience into art; and art into a career.
The “MB” stands for Muddy Boyz—a name rooted in Stockton’s “Mudville” nickname—and Mattie Boys, named after Mattie Harrell Park where his crew came up. It’s more than a rap name; it’s a lifestyle and representation of where he’s from. Through raw storytelling, melodic pain, and street honesty, MBNel built one of the strongest independent fanbases to come out of Northern California.
Signed to EMPIRE, he has accumulated millions of streams across Spotify and YouTube while collaborating with artists including BLXST, Mozzy, $tupid Young, and O Side Mafia. His hit collaboration “Ashtray” with O Side Mafia expanded his reach internationally, charting on Spotify Philippines and YouTube trending charts. MBNel’s music has also crossed into sports culture with his song “Born To Win” being used by the San Francisco 49ers; further solidifying his growing impact beyond music and into mainstream culture.
