Aviators take retro pop to dreamier, more introspective place with new single “Come & Go”

May 30, 2026

MANILA, PHILIPPINES—Chamber rock duo Aviators areback in our daily rotation with new ‘rush-inducing’ track “Come & Go”—out today via Offshore Music.

What started as an Iloilo-based music project between two friends, John Roxas and Arvy Zafra, has evolved into a band with unique sonic imagery: retro-pop with lush and ornate arrangements and post-punk sensibilities, perfectly carried by their previous single, “Hollow,” which was released in October 2025.

Imbued with newfound range and character, their latest single “Come & Go” takes the familiar cinematic approach with a more manic sound. It’s intentionally made to feel as if the listener is chasing after each note as the song drives forward.

“I wanted a song that had an energetic, frenetic pace, something you would hear as a soundtrack to a James Bond-esque movie,” shares vocalist and guitarist John Roxas. “The lyrics are centered around things that come and go, and what better way to bring that to light than with a song that comes at you, then goes on forward.”

In the same interview, Roxas mentioned that this song has been in the works way back 2016 when they were experimenting on orchestral soundscapes, making “Come & Go” technically a ten-year-old project.

A lyric video of “Come & Go”, created by Danille Yzjl Eligue, Renzky Avelino, and Jyzle Xylex Monzon, will also be available upon release day on the Offshore Music PH's official YouTube channel.

The final installment of Aviators’ cinematic and orchestral exploration is set to drop this July.

About Aviators

Heavily inspired by the melodies of retro pop music and the angst of the post-punk revival, Aviators seamlessly blend lush vocal harmonies and chamber pop strings into their gritty musical backbone. Taking cues from artists like Mini Mansions, Julian Casablancas, Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, David Bowie, and Pulp, their sound is a unique fusion of heavy guitars, pounding drums, orchestral arrangements, and rich vocal layers. The result pushes listeners in unexpected directions while still keeping them close at hand with the familiarity of classic pop melodies.

Their journey took off with the release of their first single, I Got U in 2020, followed by their debut album, Analogies On Love, in 2022. Both releases garnered Awit Awards nominations. Aviators have also made two notable appearances on Rappler Live Jam, further establishing their new presence in the industry.
