Genre-Defying Indonesian Alt-Pop Trio Elephant Kind Unveils New Album 'More Time'

ANNOUNCED 'PARTY OF A LIVETIME',
LIVE ALBUM SHOWCASE IN JAKARTA

March 27th, 2026 — Indonesian alt-pop trio Elephant Kind return with their third studio album, 'More Time', out via Alcopop! Records. The band's most personal and expansive record to date, the album is a genre-blurring body of work that explores transformation, longing, and the relentless pursuit of meaning in a fast-moving world, as they step confidently into a new global chapter. Fans can stream the new album HERE.

Developed throughout 2023 to 2025, 'More Time' was shaped during a period of profound change for the band. Written between the sprawling chaos of Jakarta and the introspective quiet of London, the record captures a pivotal moment in their journey. Creatively self-produced and mixed, it stands as a testament to resilience, growth, and unfiltered honesty — the sound of a band shedding old skins while holding onto the lessons learned along the way. "We've released songs here and there over the past few years, but this time we're holding a complete record we truly believe in, finally on the horizon, ready to be received and heard by the world," says Bam, vocalist of Elephant Kind.

The title and focus track, "More Time", carries a hypnotic, late-night energy. With ambient, reverb-soaked vocals and introspective lyricism, its moody, immersive palette captures Elephant Kind at their most sonically adventurous.

"'More Time' is Hip Hop, House, Rock, Eastern, Dance, and more genres we can't even put into words, a twist and turn of frequencies pulling you from one realm to the next. An innovation."

— Bam Mastro, Elephant Kind

'More Time' represents both a departure and a natural evolution for the band. Seamlessly fusing alt-rock roots with breakbeats, and melancholic ballads with dancefloor catharsis, it showcases a group fully stepping into their identity — fearless, fluid, and unrestrained. This is an album that doesn't just ask for more time; it demands full attention.

The album was produced by the band's vocalist and guitarist, Bam Mastro, with Iain Berryman (Arcade Fire, Wolf Alice, beabadoobee, Sam Fender, Young Fathers) co-producing three tracks, including "Man Enough". It was recorded in London before being completed in Jakarta. Mixing was handled by Robert Adam Stevenson (QOTSA, KT Tunstall, Jeff Beck), with mastering by Christian Wright at Abbey Road Studios, London.

To mark the release of 'More Time', the band have announced Party of a LIVETIME — a two-part album launch series in Jakarta. The first chapter, held earlier this week, took the form of an intimate listening party accompanied by a semi-live DJ set, offering fans an exclusive full listen of the album one day ahead of its official release. The second installment, set for May, will see Elephant Kind present a full-scale live showcase — performing the album in its entirety alongside a selection of standout tracks from their back catalogue. Tickets are available HERE.
