10th March 2026 – Following the release of her latest single ‘Walk’, Skye Newman today unveils the official video for the track, directed by KC Locke and premiering on YouTube.
The visual brings a new dimension to the song’s message of self-preservation and emotional clarity. It opens with Skye and a close frienddriving through quiet woodland roads - laughing,smoking and sharing the kind of unguarded moments that define young friendships. As night falls, the pair arrive at an open clearing where they light a bonfire, throwing personal objects intothe flames, suggesting the remnants of a relationship being left behind.
As the fire burns, the symbolism becomes clear. The objects represent the emotional baggage and memories tied to the relationship described in the song. The video ends with the two friends walking away from the flames together, leaving the past behind and reinforcing the song’s central idea - that reclaiming your power sometimes simply means choosing to walk away.
Directed by KC Locke, the video mirrors the directness of the song itself, translating Skye’s sharp songwriting into a visual story aboutclosure, friendship and the quiet strength thatcomes from letting go.
Originally released on 27th February, ‘Walk’ marks Skye Newman at her most direct and unfiltered. Written alongside long-time collaborators Boo and Luis Navidad, and her first collaboration with Chrissi, the track captures the moment when patience runs out and self-preservation takes over. With restrained production and characteristically honest lyricism, Skye traces the emotional imbalance of a relationship before drawing a clear boundary.
Speaking on the track, Skye explains: “‘Walk’ is about taking back your power when a relationship is no longer serving you, putting your heels on and walking away.”
