Listen to the infectious pop-punk anthem about self-worth, self-respect, and finally walking away from the wrong kind of love
After delivering infectious pop-punk anthems via her previously released singles “Laguna” and “GAGA,” RAMONA returns with “Manloloko,” an unapologetic kiss-off that captures the messy, downward spiral of what used to be a picture-perfect relationship and the importance of self-worth.
Produced by Sam Marquez and timothy Run, with mastering by Emil Dela Rosa, “Manloloko” confronts the familiar cycle of falling for the wrong kind of person and the clarity that comes with the decision to walk away. The track makes its takeaway clear: staying in a relationship that repeatedly causes pain is neither an obligation nor a measure of love.
“It’s about knowing your worth, learning from heartbreak, and realizing that walking away from a ‘manloloko’ can lead you to someone who actually knows how to value you,” says RAMONA.
“Manloloko” borrows from the rawness of ’90s alternative rock and riot grrrl while incorporating the glossy immediacy and pop sensibilities of TRL-era pop music. The collision of these influences gives the track a bubblegum-punk edge: loud, catchy, confrontational, and unafraid to say exactly what needs to be said.
The song’s themes of leaving the past behind come to life in its accompanying music video, which features RAMONA as a runaway bride with nowhere in particular to go. Freed from the expectations and commitments she once believed she had to fulfill, she gradually embraces the uncertainty of the road ahead, eventually reveling in the newfound freedom of choosing herself.
From the get-go, “Manloloko” is a song about reclaiming agency. RAMONA turns the frustration of being deceived into an assertion of independence and a refusal to settle for relationships that diminish one’s value.
RAMONA’s “Manloloko” is out now on all major digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment. The music video will drop on October 2, 2026, at 6:00 P.M.
