which is capital P pop music... Disco guitar dances alongside heartbeat drums, yet something melancholy lingers in the space between them” – London Standard
October 16th, 2026 – Indie-pop singer-songwriter Rachel Chinouriri has released her second studio album, ‘I think I spoke too soon’, via Atlas Artists / Parlophone Records. Fans can stream the album here and watch the music video for the focus track here.
The album’s focus track, “Pretty girls”, is a track celebrating women, self-confidence, and the freedom to express oneself without fear of judgement. Speaking about the track, Rachel shares: “"Pretty girls" is the anthem for all women wanting to express who they are with the freedom to not be judged. When I say all women I mean it. Straight women, queer women, trans women, masc women, non binary people and anyone who supports the girls. I have a deep love and admiration for beautiful women including myself and I’m glad I have a song that represents that confidence for me and hopefully many other pretty girls”.
Accompanying the track is a music video directed by Dora Paphides, which serves as a euphoric ode to the magic of womanhood. Embracing themes of self-expression, embodiment, and freedom, the visual captures the confidence and joy at the heart of “Pretty girls”, bringing its celebration of women and individuality to life.

Featuring the previously released singles “One song away from crying”, “Make believe" and “Broken chair”, ‘I think I spoke too soon’ expands upon the intoxicating alchemy of pop, indie and rock influences that Rachel has long used to sketch portraits of her inner world that are both dynamic and deeply intimate.
The resulting project is an absorbingly vulnerable study into unpicking those tensions: between the internal and the external, our thoughts and our actions, who we are versus who we want to be. In many ways, this album is Rachel’s offering of loving permission; permission to fall and to get back up, to change, question, learn and grow in the face of the messy, beautiful reality of ongoing personal evolution. “My core thing is you can change who you are at any moment and you can forgive yourself at any moment,” she says. “And I think forgiving yourself is the first step in becoming a better person”.
