The Sound of Shine – Spotlight on Slot Machine
A key feature of Shine is its original soundtrack, blending period influence with modern edge. Thai rock legends Slot Machine contribute select original songs specially written for the series, adding emotional intensity and elevating the show’s dramatic scale.
“Shine hit us like a beautiful riot, visceral, bold, unapologetic. After KinnPorsche, we hadn’t touched drama for a while, but knowing it came from the same fearless team, we couldn’t stay away. This isn’t just a show, it’s a storm of art, emotion, and disruption.” – Foet, frontman of Slot Machine.
Other Thai artists will also be part of the musical lineup, with production led by Jay Monton, Ake from Season Five, and Tero Entertainment—ensuring a rich and diverse sonic landscape across the season.
From Bangkok to the World
Backed by the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Culture, and the Thailand Creative Content Agency (THACCA), Shine is part of Thailand’s creative soft power initiative—supporting Boys Love and Girls Love content that reflects cultural diversity and storytelling excellence.
In July, the cast of Shine will travel to the United States under the Thai SELECT campaign to promote Thai storytelling and cultural exports through live appearances and showcases.

“Shine” premieres on August 2, 2025, airing every Saturday on Channel 7HD and streaming uncensored worldwide via WeTV and www.WeTV.vip.

ABOUT SLOT MACHINE
Slot Machine is a Bangkok-based rock trio known for their bold sound and boundary-pushing creativity. Their name isn’t about gambling, but about synergy — like the moving parts of a slot machine, each member brings a distinct energy that, together, creates a powerful and unified force. The band is constantly evolving, embodying a spirit of motion and progression that drives their music and stage presence alike.
The band has played to sold-out arenas, headlined major festivals, and shared stages with global acts including Jason Mraz, Japanese rock icon Miyavi, and Korean indie favorites Kiha & The Faces. Their standout career moments include Cell, the award-sweeping album that catapulted them to fame, and Spin the World, their first English-language album produced by Grammy-winning Steve Lillywhite. They've performed at Asia’s premier festivals — Fuji Rock, Super Slippa, Jisan Valley, and Clockenflap — and joined Live Nation’s Asia On Tour for a North American run. In 2024, Slot Machine launched their EXIT TO ENTER world tour, with high-energy stops in Bangkok, Taipei, Singapore, and Korea.
Beyond the music, the band’s iconic “Eye of Wisdom” hand gesture — a creative evolution of the Thai wai — reflects their commitment to balance, mindfulness, and cultural depth. With each release, Slot Machine fuses rock with spiritual symbolism and Thai identity, forging a sound that resonates far beyond borders.
