June 13th, 2025 — Singapore's rising indie pop sensation, singer-songwriter and producer Shye returns this week with her newest single, "All at once"—a hauntingly atmospheric track that captures the quiet devastation of heartbreak. A continuation of the narrative explored in her previous single, "Waited for you", the song deepens the emotional storyline, moving from longing to the silent ache of acceptance. Fans can stream the song HERE.
Where "Waited for you" explored the ache of longing for someone who never truly arrives, "All at once" moves into the aftermath. "The song sings about being haunted by the memories of a person who has moved on, while you're still stuck in the echoes of what was," Shye explains. Anchored by the repeated plea "Come back to me", the song lives in that emotional loop of trying to feel okay when deep down, you're unraveling. "It's the kind of grief that seeps into everything around you—where you start to see the one you lost in everything and everyone. When you know it's over and you have to move on but it's easier said than done."

** RELEASING 13 JUN, 9:00 PM (GMT+8) **
"With this track, I hope to give a voice to the quiet, complicated kind of heartbreak that often goes unspoken. The feeling of being stuck in the aftermath while the world keeps moving. I want listeners who are going through something similar to feel seen and less alone in their experience."
— Shye
Following her recent releases, "Cecilia" and "Waited for you", the new song marks a shift into softer, dreamier territory—both tender and emotionally unflinching. Sonically, Shye trades the weightier soundscapes of her earlier releases for a more atmospheric palette, built around dreamy guitar textures and unfiltered lyricism. "All at once" feels like a soft sigh of the heart—tender, haunting, and just a little bit broken.
Speaking on the emotional core of the song, Shye shares: "The inspiration came from that strange emotional space where everything still reminds you of someone, even after they're gone. When you're in love, your world becomes shaped around that person and once they leave, you're left with the shadows of what used to be." Through both words and instrumentation, she captures the quiet ache of trying to move forward while piecing together the fragments of a heart still healing—peaceful on the surface, yet full of emotional unrest beneath.
At its core, "All at once" is a hand to hold for anyone going through it—a gentle companion for those quietly hurting, offering solace and helping them feel a little less alone in their pain. "It's okay to not be okay," she says, "and sometimes just sitting with that truth is part of the healing." Above all, she hopes the song reaches those who need it most, at the moment they need it, and encourages them to give themselves the time and space to truly heal.
