Music collective 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE has released their latest single āGasolineā with South Korean rock singer/songwriter LĆREN. Out now via 88rising and RCA Records, the single is accompanied by a high-octane music video. Listen to āGasolineā HERE.
āGasolineā is an electrifying pop-punk re-emergence for both LĆREN and the genre-bending collective 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE. The all-English single touches on LĆREN's inner turmoil and angst as he struggles against both his personal demons and societal pressures. The new track follows the releases of 1999 WRITE THE FUTUREās latest singles "Raw I Know I Got It" with NBA legend Shaquille OāNeal, āfIT chECK fREEsTYleā with pop experimentalist Jean Dawson, āWhAT yoU WaNTā with genre-bending artist Deb Neverand āPUMP IT UP Īµ=ā(^_^)ā,ā featuring Indonesian rap powerhouse, singer and producer Rich Brian and breakout rapper TiaCorine.
Earlier this year, 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE released their debut compilation project, hella (ĖĢ£Ģ£Ģ„āā®ĖĢ£Ģ£Ģ„) ā§ ā” ā§ĀŗĀ·Ė:, which features genre-spanning collaborations from the likes of Rich Brian, Warren Hue, Ghostface Killah, Busta Rhymes, Smino, Cuco, Amaarae, Offset, BADBADNOTGOOD, Westside Gunn, Dumbfoundead and more. He co-signed with 88rising to release his debut EP, Put Up a Fight, with the lead single, āFolks,ā followed by āPanic.ā That same month, he was named one of Paste Magazine's āThe 20 Best Acts We Saw at SXSW 2023ā and just a few weeks later he performed in the Sahara Tent at Coachella.
