Did you know that the cover of my second book, Speak Write Live, was inspired by my fascination with old studio photographs of mestizas in the Spanish and Early American colonial periods? I first enjoyed viewing them in museums, then my obsession continued on Facebook photography groups. You may think that museums have no place in our modern culture, but I beg to disagree. I got inspired by vintage photos in museums, then I decided to incorporate this into my book. The old photo featured in this post was from the National Museum of Fine Arts.
