Foo Fighters’ new album, But Here We Are receives glowing reviews from music critics
“The Glass” visualizer, out now!
Foo Fighters have finally dropped their eagerly awaited, hard-fought and already universally acclaimed new album, But Here We Are via Roswell Records/RCA Records/Sony Music Entertainment.
A testament to the healing powers of music, friendship and family, But Here We Are has been preceded by an ecstatically received quartet of its songs.
These four songs have demonstrated dimensions of sound and emotion that hint at the range and depth of this phenomenal landmark in the Foo Fighters canon: First single “Rescued” with its “fresh sense of pathos and urgency” (The New York Times); “Under You,” a “gruff, melodic rocker with bittersweet hooks” (Stereogum); “Show Me How,” with its "totally unexpected foray into shoegaze and dream-pop territory;” and the 10-minute “The Teacher”—all blazed radically diverse yet equally cathartic sonic paths. Now with today's revelation of the sublimely melodic “The Glass” (check out the visualizer HERE), and five more FF instant classics, But Here We Are is finally out in the world.
Produced by Greg Kurstin and Foo Fighters, But Here We Arehas received the warmest of welcomes—from the capacity crowds already signing along to every word of “Rescued” and “Under You” during the band’s triumphant return to the stage, to uniformly enthusiastic early critical reactions to the album.

DANCEHALL ARTIST ISHAWNA AND GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING ED SHEERAN TEAM UP FOR ‘BRACE IT’ OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO
One of the leading voices of a new generation of female dancehall artists, Ishawna, has teamed up with Ed Sheeran for the ‘Brace It’ music video, Ed’s first official dancehall collaboration.
Written by Cordel ‘Skatta’ Burrell, Ed Sheeran and Ishawna with top Jamaican producers behind the production, modern dancehall hit ‘Brace It’ saw Ishawna officially induct Ed Sheeran into the dancehall fraternity, topping the iTunes Reggae Chart and racking up over 6 million streams.
Directed by Filmheads Cuban director Jose-Emilio Sagaro (Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Anuel AA), the official music video for the single features Ishawna and Ed Sheeran and was filmed between London and Miami, mirroring their long-distance friendship.
Their collaboration came together after Ed Sheeran fell in love with Ishawna’s ‘Equal Rights’ cover of his single ‘Shape of You’ while he was in the Caribbean in 2017. The two began interacting over social media leading to Ishawna sharing another track she was working on. Ed loved it and immediately sent an instrumental and blueprint idea which Ishawna blended into an eclectic mix of strumming guitar and old school dancehall rhythms: ‘Brace It’ was born.
Building a friendship over many weeks of back and forth, they now have a finished music video for the single which is set to introduce the track to an even wider international audience.
Ed says; “Me and (Ishawna) made a tune after me being in love with her Equal Rights cover of Shape Of You. I love her, and loved working with her”.
Ishawna adds; “Working on ‘Brace It’ was such an all around great experience. Creatively everything felt so effortless and easy. Ed is super talented and a joy to work with. I feel so blessed and honoured that I was able to create this amazing song with him. Working on Brace It Video was a great experience. Ed and I were in different countries due to our schedules, so we had to shoot separately. Yet they were still able to come up with a simple yet creative treatment for the video that wasn’t cliche. We had a blast on set, definitely one of the easiest and most fun shoots I’ve ever been on.”
Staying true to Ishawna’s authentic sound and following her direction, ‘Brace It’ features Ed experimenting with patois for his first official dancehall collaboration. Holding a long affinity with Jamaican music and culture with recognisable references in his music, Ed has also dabbled with afrobeats, releasing ‘Peru’ with Nigerian singer Fireboy DML, and hooking up with Stormzy and Burna Boy on ‘Own It’ in 2019.
Established as one of the leading female Jamaican dancehall legacy artists, Ishawna’s success of recent years has secured her first international record deal with New York based Payday Records - responsible for launching everyone from Jay-Z to Jeru The Damaja via Yasiin Bey and Mos Def.
Representing a turning point in her career, the ‘Brace It’ music video is her first official release on Payday Records and marks the beginning of a series of new music releases from Ishawna set for 2023.

Israeli Foreign Minister Visits Manila to Strengthen Relations with PH
Eli Cohen, Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs
Israeli Foreign Minister Eliyahu (Eli) Cohen arrived in Manila on Sunday, June 4, to hold bilateral talks with his Philippine counterpart. The 2-day visit is expected to boost the historically friendly relations between Israel and the Philippines (“Open Door” policy of President Quezon) and enhance current partnerships in the areas of agriculture, water, innovation and technology, and economic cooperation.
FM Cohen is expected to pay his courtesy call on President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., conduct bilateral meetings with Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo, strengthen trade and economic cooperation with National Economic and Development Authority Director-General Arsenio Molina Balisacan, sign agreements, participate in meetings with public and private sectors, among others.
Accompanying FM Cohen is an Israeli business delegation that will connect with Filipino business companies to increase trade and economic cooperation.
“Israel and the Philippines are celebrating their 65thanniversary of friendly relations this year. The visit of Israel’s Foreign Minister to the Philippines reassures that Israel is a friend and an ally of the Philippines, and we see the relations flourishing further in the years to come,” Israeli Ambassador Ilan Fluss said.
The visit of the Israeli Foreign Minister to the Philippines is a strong political and economic message - reciprocity to the visit of former president Rodrigo Roa Duterte to Israel in 2018 which paved the way for the opening of the Israeli Defense and Economic Attaché offices in Manila, signing of bilateral agreements on OFWs, and expanding defense cooperation.

RELEASES HIGHLY ANTICIPATED EP 'WHEN WE WERE YOUNGER'
June 3rd, 2023 – Once again proving his endless versatility as an artist, rising star grentperez has released his highly anticipated EP ‘When We Were Younger’ and focus track "Stuck On You", out now everywhere via AWAL and Fast Friends. Fans can stream the new track and EP here: grentperez.ffm.to/whenwewereyounger
Along with the release of the new EP this week, grentperez announced his first-ever live performance in Asia. He is set to perform in Manila on 16 June, at Eastwood Central Plaza. The show is free for fans to attend on a first-come-first-served basis.
Conceived as a means to get out of a songwriting rut, ‘When We Were Younger’ is a seven-song collection centered around the concept of nostalgia. Motivated by a desire to stave off cynicism and embrace the carefree creativity of childhood, in his own words ‘When We Were Younger’ “is a collection of music each relating to figures of the past, whether it be in love, loss, families and friendship."
On the focus track "Stuck On You", grentperez’s versatility exhibits itself repeatedly, presenting a strumming shuffler that rides sparkling keys and a spotless falsetto to tell a story of memories that just won't shake. Recalling old memories, grentperez explains “I wrote this song the first time I had been away from my friends at home for more than a month. I felt like I left just as things were getting good, so this song was a recollection of fond memories and a call to make new ones and wanted to speak about making up for the time we’d lost since I'd been gone.”
Throughout ‘When We Were Younger’, grentperezdisplays a director’s knack for world-building where the discrete elements throughout the tracks are as disparate as one could imagine but together everything makes sense - different musical gestures and lyrics stimulating long-dormant memories while simultaneously providing a soundtrack for new ones. Fusing the signifiers of a wide variety of nostalgic sounds: his beloved bossa nova, yes, but also sprightly Philadelphia soul, the swelling strings of golden-era Hollywood, even the soundtracks and general vibe of 90s romcoms - the bold approach hits once you press play on the EP and the opening track busts in with a psychedelic spaghetti western fanfare. “I wanted to try to create a THX-style intro to the project,” he elaborates. “Kind of recreate the childhood thrill of booting up a VHS tape.”
Inspired by his parents' record collection that soundtracked his childhood (Dionne Warwick, The Carpenters, The Bee Gees + more), the intuitive and unexpected sonic detours throughout ‘When We Were Younger’ are what make grentperez’s breezy, lithe pop songs feel full of life. “Connecting with what I remember as a really lovely childhood grounds me in the real world and keeps me thinking of the important friends and family in my life,” grentperez explains, “it keeps me from getting ahead of myself.”
Pre-order the ‘When We Were Younger’ EP physical vinyl HERE, to be released on 14 July.
Multi-media artist, singer-songwriter and producer grentperez’s handcrafted DIY pop instantly soothes on a series of releases that have helped endear him to rapidly growing audiences at home in Australia as well as further afield in Southeast Asia, North America and Europe.
His debut single "Cherry Wine", released in September 2021 shot up the Spotify viral charts across the globe, including the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and swept up the #1 spot in Singapore soon after its release. In less than two years, grentperez’scatalogue has seen over 200 million streams to date, and over 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, with hundreds of new fans discovering him daily.
Born in Australia, grentperez grew up as the youngest of three kids in a Filipino family. Raised on a diet of The Eagles, The Beatles, and Queen thanks to his dad before moving on to the likes of Musiq Soulchild. As soon as he received his first nylon string acoustic, he taught himself Jeremy Passion’s “Lemonade”, learning chords, shapes, and plucking patterns. At the end of 2013, he launched his YouTube channel which currently sits at over half a MILLION subscribers.

Platinum Duo DVBBS Joins Forces with Grammy-Nominated Jeremih and SK8 for Electronic/Dance and R&B Infused Summer Anthem "Crew Thang." Out Now on Ultra Records
Canadian brothers DVBBS teams up with Grammy-nominated R&B artist Jeremih and singer-songwriter SK8 for "Crew Thang," a genre-bending collaboration. The track's unique style rides on dynamic melodies and groovy house basslines, all wrapped up with upbeat but velveteen vocals for a perfect balance of sexy and fun. This combination makes for the perfect anthem, launching this year's summer season, making unforgettable memories, and doing your own crew thang on or off the dance floor. It follows DVBBS's "Synergy" with Timmy Trumpet from last month, "Next To You" with Loud Luxury and Kane Brown from February, and the cheeky "SH SH SH (Hit That)" with Wiz Khalifa, Urfavxboyfriend and Goldsoul from the same month, also on Ultra Records. Jeremih recently released "Chose You" with French Montana, and earlier his solo single "Changes" on Def Jam/Universal Music Group. Be on the lookout for an official music video for "Crew Thang," coming out very soon.
"Summer starts now… Big love to Jeremih for lending us his incredibly talented voice and our bro SK8 for making this come to life. 'Crew Thang' is for you and your crew to turn up. 2023 vibes." - DVBBS
"Following a huge single off my last project featuring DVBBS and Wiz Khalifa, I'm stoked to create something special with DVBBS again, and this time with Jeremih - an artist I've looked up to for a minute. 'Crew Thang' is a blend of uptempo house mixed with pop melodies that make you feel good and wanna dance. This is another super proud moment in my career. Looking forward to touring and performing this song all summer." - SK8
DVBBS
Only a few producers have risen to the top in the electronic music scene as quickly as DVBBS, who captured the industry's attention with hits like "Tsunami" and "Not Going Home" and never let it go. The Canadian brothers Alex and Christopher have been continuously cultivating their sound since their debut in 2012 and have racked up an impressive display of collaborations with renowned names from diverse musical backgrounds, such as blackbear, 24kGoldn, Jasmine Thompson, Belly, NERVO, Juicy J, Galantis, Cody Simpson, Aloe Blacc, Icona Pop, GASHI, andmore. DVBBS continue to prove there's nothing they can't accomplish. Their hits, such as "La La Land," "Gold Skies," and the breakthrough "Angel" are staples in every dance music fan's library. Prior to the global pandemic, DVBBS performed a staggering 250 dates per year at some of the world's hottest music festivals and top-tier clubs, including Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Music Festival, Hakkasan Las Vegas or Ibiza's Amnesia, and Ushuaia. Throughout their career, DVBBS has proved they are relentlessly dedicated to expanding their global footprint and bringing cutting-edge new music to their listeners.
Jeremih
He quickly rose to fame in 2009 with his Top 10 debut single "Birthday Sex," a lewd lullaby of sorts that sounded like nothing else at the time, optimizing the R&B artist's slinking vocals and explicit wordplay. The slow jam effectively launched the Chicago native's career, one that has been studded with additional and quite different Top 10 hits - "Down on Me" and "Don't Tell 'Em," among several more gold and platinum singles. "Jeremih" (2009), "All About You" (2010), and "Late Nights: The Album" (2015), his first three LPs were similarly awarded, while "Planez" earned Jeremih a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Performance. "Late Nights with Jeremih" and "Late Nights: The Album" became the first two parts of a trilogy with the August 2016 release of the commercial mixtape "Late Nights: Europe." The collection was highlighted by "London," featuring Stefflon Don and Krept & Konan, and "Paris (Who Taught You)," assisted by Ty Dolla $ign. Jeremih and fellow Chicagoan Chance The Rapper closed out 2016 with the collaborative holiday mixtape "Merry Christmas Lil' Mama." During 2017 and 2018, Jeremih released a handful of singles, and in the latter, more productive year, the singer bundled four new solo cuts as "The Chocolate Box," and teamed up again with Ty Dolla $ign to issue the full-length project "Mih-Ty." Jointly issued by Def Jam and Ty's home label, Atlantic Records, "Mih-Ty" placed at number 60 on the Billboard 200. Its single "The Light" went gold. Jeremih issued some more singles in 2020, but during that year through 2022, he was much more active in featured artist and co-headliner roles, appearing on Afrojack and Chico Rose's "Cloud 9," Kito and ZHU's "Follow," and Benny Benassi's "Lovelife," among many other tracks.
SK8
At 15, you could find SK8 in his room writing lyrics, and by his sophomore year, you could find him handing out CDs in high school. The 23-year-old moved to Los Angeles from Omaha, Nebraska, and linked with the venerable Taylor Gang, first breaking into the mainstream with his gold-certified single, "Like That," with Jack & Jack and opening for revered rap icons like Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, and Rae Sremmurd. SK8 began building a dedicated fanbase of dreamers who related to his message of seizing every moment long before his eventual move to LA. Shortly after founding his own imprint - Alignment, and formally signing a joint venture with Atlantic Records via James McMillan's ART@WAR, SK8 released his major label debut EP, sk8sounds, which was buttressed by the standout singles "Omme (feat. Wiz Khalifa)," "XXX" and "Mood (feat. YK Osiris)." Over a year later, SK8 has turned a new page in his career with his first single of 2021, "Famous (feat. Tyla Yaweh)," and its associated forthcoming project, which finds the rising singer seamlessly blending punk/rock instrumentation with his hip-hop origins, the latest but not last development in SK8's rapidly evolving artistry.

The eclectic pop track is penned by Benj himself, andproduced by Grammy-nominated artist Xerxes Bakker
Benj Pangilinan forges his own path in the music industry as one of Sony Music Entertainment’s newest recording artists in 2023.
Coming from an esteemed lineage of established actors, music icons, and prominent entertainers, the promising newcomer is keen on proving skeptics wrong with an impressive debut that digs deep into young romance and nostalgia.
His new single “Love, That’s Rare” gazes wistfully at the complexities of love while acknowledging its effect on shaping one’s worldview—for better or worse. Benj wrote a song that transported him back to a specific time and place, helping him make sense of the conflicting emotions he was experiencing at the time.
“I wrote the song a while back, and to be honest, I’m not entirely sure why,” Benj shares. “Lyrics and melodies come in like a thief in the night. It’s all about knowing how to catch and record those creative flashes.”

The result is a fine piece of contemporary pop that will surely stick around for quite a while.
Benj recalls how immediately comforting the experience was, after meeting Xerxes for the first time. “There was an immediate click. After some conversation, you already knew the visions were aligned. In terms of a production standpoint, it's all about coming to a mutual understanding of the vision for the song and developing that trust with each other.”

Penned by the talented singer-songwriter Kikx Salazar and produced by Reverb Worship PH, Sa'Yong Pangalan encourages listeners to remain steadfast in their faith, even in the face of adversity. It serves as an anthem to draw closer to God—finding solace and victory by fully relying on His power.
“Reflecting on my own life, so many things happened, I had ups and downs. This song is a reminder for me to still thank God and pour out my feelings to Him, for He wants a relationship with us. We only need to come near to Him,” says James.
With a musical journey that spans from worship leading and commercial jingles, to vocal coaching and collaborating with renowned artists like Moira dela Torre, this new track is a testament to his versatility and dedication to his craft. Jamesadds, “There is hope in every situation, in every circumstance in life. If you feel that no one hears you, nor understands you, the Lord is with you. Continue to talk to Him.”
Kikx echoes his sentiments and shares a defining moment in his career that birthed the song, “When I wrote Sa‘Yong Pangalan10 years ago, that time I was really scared. I was asking God if Iwas making the right decision of leaving my band to become a full-time songwriter and music producer—one of those dark times when I was not sure where to go. With God’s blessing, I think I made the right decision. I allowed His plan to unfold, and I am thankful He did not leave me during those times—that’s basically how Sa‘Yong Pangalan was written.”
Dubbing the song “a prayer and a cry for help,” the songwriterinvites listeners to dive into the compelling lyrics and heartfelt melody of Sa'Yong Pangalan, “If they’re going through tough times and they feel lost, hopefully, this song can bring light and hope.
